With its roots as a contract manufacturer of medical devices since 1995, the business was purchased by Marv Selge and Dr. Michael Method in 2005 and renamed Rochester Medical Implants to more accurately reflect the primary market for its' precision products. Marv and Mike's vision with RMI is to be a premier manufacturer of medical devices offering superior quality, service, and technical leadership.

In 2007 Marv and Mike brought in a third partner. Jim Evans' diverse background in product development, engineering, and marketing, along with extensive management experience, provide the leadership necessary to accelerate RMI's evolution. Together Marv, Mike, and Jim share a philosophy that promotes integrity, commitment, and excellence.

RMI's capability is built on a foundation of robust engineering and quality systems combined with state-of-the-art capital equipment. Every product we manufacture starts as a 3-D mathematical model in our CAD/CAM system which is used to generate the programs for our CNC machines. All manufacturing and measuring steps are recorded in accordance with our ISO 13485:2003 quality system. We have made extensive investment in capital equipment and personnel in order to ensure first time success.
